Luna Moon Earrings

This fairtrade product is handmade by the Hope Jewellery Project which provides training and fairly paid work for women in some of the poorest shanty towns in Lima, Peru. 

The initial design and concept for this collection was developed by up and coming jewellery designer, Sophie Howard, currently studying at Sheffield Hallam University.

Sophie was inspired by Peruvian and Ecuadorian mythology to create these pieces, which are made collaboratively by artisans in Peru and Ecuador. Lizet in Peru took Sophie’s initial designs, experimented with scale and added texture to the brass, using techniques learnt in workshops carried out by Just Trade.
